I remember going to the mall in summer heat to smoke, because it was an air-conditioned space that didn’t require I purchase something (like a bar or restaurant).

Even as a kid, I never understood the outrage over that - the guy was masturbating in a porno theater, I somehow doubt that's an unusual or unexpected occurrence

Nowadays I doubt it would get the same reaction, but at the time, having an entertainer of children in a pron theater was scandalous.

I always thought it was a normal theater. Yeah, if it’s in an adult theater, he probably wasn’t alone in his action.

I’m just barely too young to have witnessed it, but smoking and non smoking sections in airplanes has always confused me.

I am old enough to remember smoking in restaurants though. Same deal. Th e smoke EASILY makes it to the non-smoking sections.

What’s really wild, is that there are still bars you can smoke in, in parts of the US. When I lived in Orlando, there were a ton of them. Such a bizarre scenerio when you’re sitting indoors and smell cigarette smoke.........

Back in ‘87 I was able to smoke my Camels in the cubicle farm at FFI in San Rafael, CA! And then we couldn’t smoke anywhere inside. Last 2 places I recall smoking in were the laundra mat and auto parts house .
